Thankfully, you have a killer PSP machine. In short: PCSX2 is very CPU-intensive and there will be many cases where it just won't be enough. Sure, they won't be as good as the original games you wanted to play, but the hunt for the "next best thing" is half the fun with emulation. The PSP was commercialized until 2014 (yeah really) and saw a large number of ports, sequels and spin-offs for PS2/PS3-era titles.

I see a lot of Sony exclusives in your list, so you won't go far with option 1, which brings us to.Ģ) Your PC is largely powerful enough to play PPSSPP in HD. They should perform better, and look better.

If you can't just upgrade your computer, you have two possible solutions:įind whether there exist GameCube or PC versions of these games. Note that you can set the resolution even below the original PS2 resolution, but in your case I don't think this is going to be very helpful. Your gut feeling is correct, with your CPU a lot of PS2 games aren't going to work great. P.D: I tried almost every configuration, but i normally use the emulator configurated on Balanced, because it seems to work a little better this way. I tried using PCSX2 at ps2 native resolution and without any graphical improvents, but even then, i don't get better results than scaling the games to x3 native (I use this configuration to play Budokai Tenkaichi). I know i shouldn't compare emulators, but it's from a more powerful console, so I suppose it should require a better pc than PCSX2. And every other game i tried runs at 60fps with no drops). It isn't the best, but i even play wiiu games with CEMU without any problems (even BOTW runs at more than 30 fps, with little drops to 30 on villages and very demanding zones. I have a 1050ti, with 8 gb of ram and a amd fx-6100 processor. Is this because the emulator needs a powerful pc or I just don't know how to configure it? I don't know why, but every other game I try (Vice City Stories, Liberty City Stories, ICO, Drakengard, Killzone, Nightshade, Digital Devil Saga, Shadow of the Colossus, Tekken 5, God of war 1 and 2, and others) doesn't reach more than 20-25fps, or if it does, it has a lot of fps drops, which makes it unplayable.

Hello, people! I've used PCSX2 to play Budokai Tenkaichi 3 for a long time, but i'm unable to play practically anything else. Let's see if you guys can help me with this. First of all, i tried posting this on r/emulation, but my post appears as "removed" so now i'm trying here.
